New to Infinite?

A guide for newcomers and beginners about IY’s philosophy, approach and etiquette.

What is Infinite Yoga?

The creation of founder and creative director Dana Rae Paré (bio), Infinite Yoga teaches a powerful dynamic form of yoga known as Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga to all levels of students. We offer traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa classes and a variety of Infinite Yoga Specialty classes, designed by Dana, that focus on a specific aspect of the practice – e.g. the core, endurance, flow, breath, alignment etc.

Yoga Shala

At our yoga school or shala (in Sanskrit) we encourage students to grow and learn regardless of age, experience or natural ability. We favor quality over quantity with a class schedule designed to empower students to grow at a rate that is appropriate for them. We offer private lessons, yoga retreats, teacher trainings & community events to enable everyone to explore and evolve in their yoga practice and their lives. Infinite Yoga was voted Best Yoga Studio in San Diego and is known for it’s highly experienced staff and unique training programs.

Classes

Please arrive 10 minutes before class to sign a release form and get settled. Wear or bring comfortable clothing that you can move in (there are men’s and women’s locker rooms where you can change).

Towels, Water & Mats

Filtered water is available at the front desk and in studio reception. We do not sell plastic water bottles and do not have paper cups, please bring your own bottle to fill up with our delicious filtered water. Towels are provided and Mats are available to borrow, if you don’t have your own. Infinite Yoga also carries Manduka mats for purchase.

Respect for Self and Others

It’s best to practice on an empty stomach and respectful to practice with a clean body, fragrance, lotion and oil free. Please also switch off cell phones before you enter the studio and keep them off until you are back in the hallway. Please no calls or texting in reception.

Moon Days

Mysore is not offered on Moon Days (the day of each New and Full Moon) as Ashtanga Vinyasa Tradition regards them as non-practice days. All other classes are taught irrespective of the moon cycle.

Parking

We have free parking available for our evening classes (Mon – Fri). On Sunday all metered parking is free. Please ask for details at the front desk – and pick up a parking pass.
