Ashtanga Vinyasa Classes

Ashtanga Vinyasa is a dynamic form of yoga that produces a strong, lean and flexible body and brings clarity and calmness to the mind.

Foundation (Level 1 – 2)

Create strength, flexibility, balance and longevity in your Ashtanga practice with a solid Foundation. Learn detailed alignment in postures and how to breathe properly (Ujjayi) in this fun, informative and entertaining class. New students will learn the basics while building stamina and muscular endurance. More experienced students will work deeper, holding postures longer and refining their knowledge and understanding of alignment and breath. This class is suitable for expectant mothers, those working with injuries and those wanting a slower paced format. A class you can begin with and return to – all levels can benefit. Ashtanga based, Iyengar inspired.

Ashtanga Vinyasa (All Levels)

Learn the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary (1st) series (see Ashtanga Vinyasa Level 3/4) in this moderate tempo, up-beat class. Move through 70% of the series at a slightly slower pace, learning the precise breath. Advanced students, refine your practice. Learn jump-throughs and jump-backs with preps given for the more challenging postures. Strengthen and detoxify your body with this powerful and graceful practice.

Ashtanga Vinyasa (Level 3 – 4)

Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary (1st) Series as taught by the late Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. The series produces a deep internal heat that detoxifies, improves digestion, increases stamina, strength and flexibility while bringing mental clarity and focus. Postures are called out in Sanskrit with very little demonstration. Please attend Ashtanga Vinyasa All Levels or Mysore before attempting this class.

Mysore (All Levels)

Experience Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga the way it is taught in Mysore, India. Open practice time, with a convenient time frame where students can arrive anytime during the times listed. Move at your own pace to the rhythm of your own breath. The teacher assists you in the form of hands on adjustments and personal attention. This class develops self-discipline and confidence in your yoga practice. Newcomers and beginners with a good understanding of the sun salutes and standing postures are welcome. This class is suitable for expectant mothers and those working with injuries (please tell teacher in advance).

Infinite Yoga Specialty Classes

Unique to Infinite Yoga, created by Dana Rae Paré, designed to complement our traditional classes and advance in your yoga practice

Improv (All Levels, Level 3 – 4 & Level 5 w/Teacher Approval)

A dynamic class with a weekly in-depth focus (hip opening, backbending, arm balancing etc.) Slower paced, integrating longer holds, deeper breath and multiple prep postures to gain insight to more challenging poses while maintaining integrity in your yoga practice. Improv is Ashtanga-based, and inspired by each teacher’s background (Teacher biographies). The All Levels class explores the more challenging postures of Ashtanga Primary Series (1st), while Level 3-4 & 5 introduce postures from Intermediate and Advanced A Series (intro to 2nd & 3rd).

Please Note: Saturday’s Level 5 class requires teacher approval. Please attend another class with Dana first to obtain approval.

Yoga Focus (All Levels)

A progressive workshop series with limited space and lots of personal attention. Combines the flow of a yoga class, information of a workshop and personal attention of a private yoga lesson. You’ll advance in your practice as you focus on one particular aspect of yoga. Students must pre=register for 6 consecutive Weds. or 4 consecutive Sats. with a new Focus offered every 8 weeks. IY-55 (All Levels)

Maximize your potential and optimize strength, balance and power. IY’s unique yoga conditioning class fuses traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa with Yoga Therapy and dance inspired strength-work. Rehab from injuries and bring tremendous strength to your yoga practice in just 55 mins!

Please Note: This is class is NOT suitable for expectant mothers but is excellent for helping new mothers get back into their practice.

Soul Vinyasa (All Levels)

Move & breathe to a hot soundtrack, evocative words and impeccable sequencing. Challenge your body while elevating your soul! A dynamic flowing sequence combining Ashtanga precision and control with surrendering and letting go. Takes a journey out of the physical and IN to the music, the rhythm of your breath and an inward focus. Un-clutter your mind, sweat out stress & negativity & feel great about yourSelf!
