Class Descriptions


We offer a perfect blend of traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and IY’s unique Specialty Classes, designed to help you explore and deepen your yoga experience. Ashtanga Vinyasa is a dynamic form of authentic yoga that produces a strong, lean and flexible body and brings clarity and calmness to the mind. IY’s Specialty Classes are designed to complement our traditional classes and help you advance in your yoga practice.

If you are new to IY stop by our free class TriYoga on Sunday’s at noon. Get your questions answered and receive 3 classes for the price of a single drop-in (new students only, SD residents).

Foundation (Level 1 – 2)

Create strength, flexibility, balance and longevity in your Ashtanga practice with a solid Foundation. Learn detailed alignment in postures and proper breathing (Ujjayi) in this fun, informative and entertaining class. New students will learn the basics while building stamina and muscular endurance. Recommended for all new students to Infinite, this class is suitable for expectant mothers, those working with injuries and those wanting a slower paced format. A class you can begin with and return to – all levels can benefit. Ashtanga based, Iyengar inspired.

Fly & Flow (All Levels)

60-mins is all you’ll need to feel stronger and more confident in handstands, arm balances and inversions at and away from the wall. This empowering All Levels class includes flowing vinyasa, core-work and prep postures to guide you safely into flying.

Improv (Level 3 – 4)

Dana’s strong, focused, flowing vinyasa practice with in-depth theme (arm balancing, hip-opening, backbending…). Intelligently sequenced, deeper breath and multiple preps allow you to move beyond boundaries taking you to new levels in your practice. Ashtanga-based, Forrest Yoga inspired.

Ashtanga Vinyasa (All Levels)

Practice 70% of the dynamic Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary (1st) series (see Ashtanga Vinyasa Level 3/4) in this moderate-tempo, traditional class. Strengthen and detoxify your body. You’ll learn “jump-throughs” & “jump-backs” and the precise rhythm of breath preparing you for the Level 3 – 4 class. All Levels welcome.

Ashtanga Vinyasa (Level 3 – 4)

Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary (1st) Series as taught by the late Sri K Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. The series produces a deep internal heat that detoxifies, improves digestion, increases stamina, strength and flexibility while bringing mental clarity and focus. Taught mostly in Sanskrit with very little demonstration. Please attend Ashtanga Vinyasa All Levels or Mysore before attempting this powerful class.

Mysore (All Levels)

Experience Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga the way it is taught in Mysore, India. Open practice, with a convenient time frame where students can arrive anytime during the times listed. Mysore is a highly personalized approach where the teacher assists you step-by step, posture by posture. You move at your own pace, to the rhythm of your own breath, in a quiet environment. Our highly experienced Mysore teachers (Trevor & Lauren) assist you in the form of hands on adjustments to guide your body into precise alignment of each pose. This class develops self-discipline and mental focus. Suitable for expectant mothers and those working with injuries (please tell teacher in advance). New to Mysore? Intro to Mysore Workshop here

IY-55 (All Levels)

Infinite Yoga’s unique 55 min. yoga conditioning class. Fusing Yoga Therapy and fitness. A therapeutic class to help rehab from injuries and excellent for anyone who wants to lengthen, strengthen and tone their body.

Soul Vinyasa (All Levels)

Friday night’s get out of your head and get in to the music and the rhythm of your breath! A strong athletic moving meditation with an eclectic music mix and impeccable sequencing. Sweat out toxins, feel great about yourself and get ready for the weekend!

Cycle2Yoga (All Levels)

Build strength and endurance while burning calories in a 30min CycleOM Ride! Continue with a flowing vinyasa, deep stretches and end with calming restorative yoga. What a strong, blissful way to spend your Thursday evening! Bring mat, water bottle and “SPD”cycling shoes or sneakers. All IY-cards except monthly membership’s are welcome for this class. Cycle2Core (All Levels)

Improve your yoga endurance & strength, improve handstands & backbends, alleviate back issues, plus have fun! Dana’s new Cycle2Core combined 30mins of calorie burning core-centric cycling next door at CycleOM w/30mins of intense core-work and back-strengthening!
